We've both managed multi-inspector firms and large coporations and know the downfalls in customer service and reliability of both. With Minnesota Home Inspectors you're always talking to the owner of the business whether you're laughing with Heather while scheduling your inspection or listening to Ken's stories during the inspection. Our personal service and dedication to giving you the best inspection possible is what sets us apart.
The National Home Inspector Examination®, is the only independent, psychometrically-valid, proctored home inspector test in the country. More than 30 states use this test when licensing home inspectors.
The Examination Board of Professional Home Inspectors (EBPHI) is an independent, not-for-profit corporation founded in 1999. EBPHI’s mission is “to establish the standard of competence for home inspectors and to enhance consumer confidence in home inspection professionals.” The National Home Inspector Examination (NHIE) addresses this mission by encouraging regulatory bodies in state and local governments, as well as professional membership organizations, to adopt the National Home Inspector Examination for competency assessment. Administration of the NHIE ensures that home inspection professionals meet basic knowledge and practice requirements for the purposes of regulation. Successful completion of the examination fulfills the needs of the public, the government and of home inspectors.
Ken has inspected hundreds of historic homes in St. Paul, Minneapolis, Dellwood, White Bear Lake, Edina and many other areas of the Twin Cities. Ken has inspected several Cass Gilbert homes including the Jasper Tarbox Cottage on Manitou Island. Here is a Historic Home Sample Report.
